POEMS syndrome masquearading as Tuberculosis

POEMS syndrome, also called Osteosclerotic myeloma or Takatsuki syndrome Crow-Fukase is a rare multisystemic disease paraneoplastic under the plasma cell dyscrasias. an acronym for Polyneuropathy, organomegaly, endocrinopathy, monoclonal protein elevation, and skin changes. It usually 1.5 times more common in male than female. Patients often present fifth to sixth decades of life have median survival rate 8 14 years without successful treatment. Here we described case young 30 old adult who presented with anasarca, polyneuropathy as initial manifestation masquerading tuberculosis. He was successfully treated Melphalan-Dexamethasone therapy clinical improvement. Therefore, patients unexplained especially when it associated changes oedema, should be evaluated syndrome.
